In 2017 Aveda Artists were crowned country winners at the Aveda Global Fashionista competition. The Aveda mission is centered around making a difference, which is why Aveda participates in an effort to improve lives in Nepal. For years they have purchased handcrafted paper for the gift boxes that are available every year. These gift boxes full of product goodies go on sale, wrapped in this unique paper. Not only are the gift boxes making a difference in local economies in Nepal, but they also benefit the environment that they are derived from.
Breast Cancer Research
Each year during Breast Cancer Research month, Aveda releases their signature hand relief™ moisturizing creme. They donate $4 (US) of the purchase price from each sale to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.
Preserving the Earth
Protecting Resources
For Earth Month in April, Aveda donates 100% of the purchase price, of their signature light the way candles™ to Global Greengrants Fund for water-related projects in 85 countries. Clean water means a clean planet.
Manufacturing and Packaging Responsibly
Aveda was the first company to use 100% post-consumer recycled PET. Today, more than 85% of skin care and hair styling PET containers that are made up of 100% post-consumer recycled materials. Aveda also utilizes responsible and renewable resources in their manufacturing processes.
Cruelty-Free
Aveda is a cruelty-free brand. They do not test on animals, and products are “people-tested.” Aveda donates funds to cruelty-free research on environmental causes and links to breast cancer. They care about the world we live in and want to make sure we preserve earth as best we can.
In the Salon
It is quite obvious that Aveda products are sold in Aveda salons everywhere, but did you know that they are also available in their educational institutes? That’s right. You can enjoy the benefits of the products at your local Aveda school. Here at Aveda Institute Las Vegas, we not only utilize the products in our spa and salon, but we train our students to give their guests consultation on purchases and at-home care.
