Required Enrollment Documentation

During enrollment, you will need to submit some documents along with your admission application. Required documents include:

Copy of your high school diploma or equivalent
Drivers license or other government-issued photo ID
Social security card

Other documentation may be required depending on your chosen program. The admissions team will be able to advise you on any additional requirements.

How to Enroll at Aveda Institute Las Vegas

Ready to start your journey at Aveda Institute Las Vegas? We’re excited to help you walk through the process. Our six-step enrollment process is designed to prepare you for your time with our programs, with financial planning, support, and even a creative assignment to spark inspiration for your future journey. Here’s the general admissions process:

1. Schedule a Career Planning Session

Meet with our team, learn about the Aveda brand, tour our institute, and ask us questions! We want to ensure this is a good fit for you while learning about your goals and aspirations. We offer different training options and can help you choose the program that’s right for your future goals.

Love skincare? Then esthiology may be the best fit for you.
Passionate about nail art? Our nail technology program lets you showcase your art.
Want to learn about all aspects of beauty? Explore our cosmetology program.

We can help you sort through your options and determine the right path for your future.

2. Create a Financial Plan (Optional)

If the cost of beauty school is a huge factor on choosing a school, financial aid is available to those who qualify. To see waht you may qualify for, complete the FAFSA and enter our school code (041476). Once we receive your information, you’ll meet with our team to establish funding for your program. Don’t worry. We’ll assist you along the way.

3. Complete Your Application

As part of the application process, you can expect to fill out an application, submit copies of required documents, and pay a $25 non-refundable application fee. Documents include:

High school diploma or equivalent, GED, or official high school transcript showing high school completion
Driver’s license, government-issued identification, or passport
Social security card
Letter of intent

4. Finalize Enrollment

If you meet all of our requirements, completed a career planning session, and you’re accepted, you can officially enroll! There is also a $150 Enrollment Fee (due at the time of enrollment).

5. Attend Orientation (Optional)

If you want to see more of what a day in the life of a student is like, you can attend a student orientation. Get inspired, meet your educators and new fellow classmates, and learn how to be successful at Aveda.

6. Create a Vision Board

This creative assignment is so much fun! It introduces your style and you as a person to your new classmates. It can be a great conversation starter on the first day of class to help connect with your peers.

FAQs About Admissions & Enrollment at Aveda Institute Las Vegas

What are the enrollment requirements?

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. They must also complete and submit all required admissions documents for enrollment approval. We do not accept transfer students except for the advanced esthetics course. More information about enrollment requirements and transfer students can be found in our school catalog or by speaking to a member of our admissions team.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes. Aveda Institute Las Vegas is a nationally accredited school (NACCAS) offering a wide range of financing options, including Title IV programs and VA for those who qualify. You can work with one of our Financial Aid Advisors to build your financial plan. The best way to start the financial aid process is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Do I need prior beauty experience to be accepted?

No. Most of our students start with little to no experience (that’s why you’re choosing to go to school!). Our educators are passionate about giving you a hands-on learning experience so that you can grow in confidence and skill.

Am I too old to go to school?

Definitely not. Historically, our student body’s age range is diverse, and whether you are fresh out of high school or thinking about changing careers, Aveda Institute Las Vegas could be the school for you! Whether you started at another college or you came from a corporate job, there’s no reason to put off fulfilling your dreams! We are proud to enroll students of all ages.

What makes Aveda Institute Las Vegas different from other beauty schools?

Our creative approach to learning sets us apart from other Aveda Institutes and beauty colleges. Our curriculum includes projects such as painting, sculpting, charcoal drawing, collage, and poetry. The programs also include business, time management, and job placement assistance (job placement is not guaranteed). During your time with us, you can use Aveda’s plant-based, vegan products and immerse yourself in the unique Aveda culture with dedicated instructors and inspiring classmates.
